Powering Our Home & Land Preservation Initiative
We're honored to introduce our strategic advisors—a national network of funders, researchers, preservationists, and community leaders at the heart of BLK GRVTY's mission to transform how the United States thinks about, invests in, and governs land ownership.
The Preservation Table functions as both a think tank and a collective action hub, working alongside us to identify leverage points in the system—from tangled titles and heirs' property reform to insurance, taxation, and zoning barriers—and aligning partners to test and scale practical solutions.
When we assembled the Table, we carefully curated each member for their unique expertise and perspective. This visionary group has been instrumental in shaping our approach to the Home & Land Preservation Initiative, helping us identify critical gaps in the field, and informing the strategies we're testing and scaling.

At BLK GRVTY, we believe that home and land preservation is not just about saving structures, it's about building systems that make ownership secure, wealth regenerative, and community power enduring. Our approach connects the dots between preservation, policy, and wealth.
We do this by bringing people, data, and capital together through the Preservation Table. Home and Land Preservation operates at the intersection of research, practice, and influence. We design pilots, test solutions, measure impact, and translate insights into frameworks others can adopt.
Storytelling and cultural strategy are equally central to our work. Through exhibitions, narrative campaigns, and immersive experiences, we surface the human stories behind property loss, showing that preservation is not nostalgia, but a modern economic and moral imperative. These stories shift perception, influence policy, and attract new partners to the work.
The Preservation Table's influence is already visible. This year, the Table played a pivotal role in shaping, building, and informing our exhibit and convening on Martha's Vineyard—translating research and strategy into tangible experiences that illuminate the path forward for land preservation.
Together, we are turning preservation into a national conversation and a viable investment category, building a movement that connects legacy to opportunity and ensuring that the power of ownership is within reach for all.
